PlayStation 5 Release Date, Price and More You Should Know: PlayStation is a gaming console that most of us that are reading this article must be a fan of. Playstation has always been one of the best gaming consoles for gaming and this time it looks like Sony is really taking it a whole lot further.

That is, there is some new information about the upcoming PlayStation 5 which everyone is excited about. The new PlayStation might be right around the corner and we are getting close to it's release day by day. PlayStation 5 Release Date, Price, Rumors:

According to many reliable websites/articles on the internet, an announcement will be given by Sony on the 11th of June 2020. They are going to showcase their new upcoming gaming console everyone's favourite PlayStation. It is already confirmed if it is going to be called PlayStation 5. We will have to wait and find out if we want to know more, but there is some exciting news that have already been published about the upcoming PlayStation and I would like to share them with you.

Design and Body:

As you can probably see, there are lot of pictures on the internet. Some of those are just concepts while the others are the playstation 5 dev kit. Remember even if they are the real pictures of the upcoming PlayStation dev you should know what a dev kit is if you already do not. Dev kits are just for testing purposes. Dev kits have never looked like the original playstation that is released for the public. Sony has made dev kits for the playstation 3,4 too and this was never the case. So, you can rest assured that whatever pictures you see on the internet that do not look like the playstation 5 pictures that Sony shows us they are fake, the upcoming playstation will look nothing like that which means the pictures officially revealed by Sony are the only real ones (the ones that you can see in this article as well).

Release Date:

It is already announced that the upcoming playstation will be released later this year, but not before November according to, Sony. It can be released before the winter holiday of 2020. Since there is a lot of PlayStation 4's still being sold. There are still a lot of games being developed for the playstation 4 only time will tell us when Sony is going to release their next PlayStation. We will have to wait and see.

Price:

This is a question of everyones lips. How much is the upcoming playstation going to cost? The price is most likely going to be about the same as PS3 when it first launched, but Sony has confirmed that the price will be not too high so, rest assured that it is not going to be too high as some are concerned. The price is expected to be reasonable and affordable. Some reliable sources on the internet are guessing the price to be around $450. It can be expected to cost a bit higher than expected at launch but if it is too high then Sony is most likely going to drop the price.


Hardware:

The upcoming PlayStation is already known to perform a lot better than the playstation 4 and playstation 4 pro. A dev kit of the upcoming playstation 5 is able to load the Marvel's Spider-Man game in only 0.8 seconds when the ps4 pro takes almost 8 seconds for the game to load as you can see in this youtube video. This article from Gamespot says, ps5 will be 100 times faster than the previous ps4. We do not know how that is even possible but we will have to wait and see. The CPU of the upcoming playstation will be based on AMD Ryzen 8 - core while the GPU will be AMD Jaguar 8 core. Playstation 5 will have high speed SSD storage of 1TB and 2TB and 8gbs of GDDR5 ram. This playstation is going to be capable of running next gen games so it is expected to perform really well. Now, we can already tell how well this upcoming playstation is going to perform.

Backwards Compatibility:

Yes, you guessed it right! PS5 is going to have backwards compatibility. It has already been confirmed by Sony. Which means, you will be able to play PS4 games on your PS5, which is an amazing news! The last PlayStation that had backwards compatibility was the PS3. It will be nice to see this amazing feature again in the next PlayStation. You will also be able to play the games online with your friends who own an older version of the playstation, which means let us say that you have a friend who has a playstation 4 and you own a ps5. He will be able to play online with you without any issues.

PlayStation 5 Games:

Some of the game publishers, developers are already working on making exclusive games for this console, which are going probably going to be demoed by Sony in June, 2020. These games are surely going to be next gen games with high graphics, a lot of great details and everything which we should be excited about. There are already a lot of games that were released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and they are also going to run on PlayStation 5. One of the games that is confirmed for the playstation 5 is Cyberpunk 2077 and more have been confirmed officially by Sony themselves like Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Project Athia and more. We can also expect the next GTA game to be released for the upcoming playstation as well. There are going to be a lot of next gen video games to play for the upcoming PlayStation.
